Paul George Plans To Play With U.S. Olympic Team

Last updated on Monday, July 13, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - Paul George says he intends to play with the U.S. Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro next summer.

He says Larry Bird supports his aspirations. "Larry, of all people, knows how important it is to play and represent your country so he's got my back on that one, it's a personal goal."

George suffered his gruesome leg injury in a Team USA scrimmage last summer that cost him nearly all of last season.

Over the weekend, the Pacers made another roster move as they traded forward Damjan Rudez to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for forward Chase Budinger. Budinger has averaged 8.5 points per game in six NBA seasons.
