Hibbert To Return For Final Year Of Contract

Last updated on Friday, June 26, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - As the Pacers added two young rookies in New York, including a center, their current center, Roy Hibbert filed paperwork and opted in to the final year of his contract with Indiana that is worth $15.5 million dollars.

Sources say the Pacers plan to attempt to trade Hibbert in order to reshape the roster and build around Paul George.

Frank Vogel and Larry Bird spoke earlier in the off-season about wanting to play a faster pace of basketball next season.

The team already lost veteran forward David West as he has opted to test free agency.
