Colts TE Dwayne Allen Debuts At Workouts

Last updated on Thursday, May 14, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - Colts tight end Dwayne Allen made his debut at the team’s voluntary workouts.

Allen had been at an elite training facility in Arizona working to improve his skills and rehab nagging injuries.

The 25 year old said the reason for the training was because he never felt fully healthy last season. "I was only about 70% all year so this training really helped me get to where I want to be."

Asked if being in the last year of his contract was weighing on his mind, he said, "Not at all. I play this game because I want to be the best, not to be the highest paid. Me thinking about a contract isn't going to help me play better on the field but me focusing on having my body in the best shape possible to go out and help the team will."
