(Chicago, IL) - Chicago mayor Rahm Emmanuel tried and failed to get the decision levied by Little League International to reverse their decision of stripping Jackie Robinson West of the U.S. Championship.
Commissioner Stephen Keener didn't budge saying while it was a difficult decision and has been emotional on the children and families, the committee would not change their mind.
JRW was found to have used a purposely inaccurate geographical map when recruiting players in order to form a "super team".
