Bird On George: "We Aren't Going To Step In His Way From Returning"

Last updated on Wednesday, February 4, 2015

(Indianapolis, IN) - Pacers President of Basketball Operations, Larry Bird met with the media on Tuesday.

The Hall of Famer touched on a number of topics including his thoughts on how the team is playing so far. "I'm disappointed with how we've played so far because I thought we would be better even when dealing with injuries."

Bird also said he wouldn't rule out Paul George for the season after seeing how much progress he's made.

"If he's healthy enough to play then we aren't going to step in his way from returning."

Bird also believes the team can still make a playoff push and as far as the trade market, is interested in trading for a guard to add some depth as George Hill has been hampered with injuries.

The Pacers return from a four day break and take on the Detroit Pistons tonight at 7pm.
