Teammates Confident Dan "Boom" Herron Will Turn Heads On Sunday

Last updated on Friday, November 21, 2014

(Indianapolis, IN) - With Ahmad Bradshaw on the shelf the Colts running game falls to Trent Richardson and Dan Herron.

Richardson talked about doing his part to make his fallen teammate proud by playing just as hard as ever. Richardson also said while fans may not be familiar with Herron, he thinks the man they call "Boom" will be turning heads on Sunday and fans will see "this guy can play."

With the Colts missing out on the services of recently released running back Ben Tate to the Minnesota Vikings there were thoughts that maybe they would contact LeGarrette Blount, but the former Steelers back signed a two year deal with the New England Patriots.

The Colts defense has been somewhat of an enigma as of late as you're not quite sure what kind of effort will show up.

Defensive coordinator Greg Manusky said the unit "has to be more consistent" and "cannot continue to have lapses and breakdowns like we did against Pittsburgh and New England."
