Hunter-Reay Claims Soaked Grand Prix of Alabama

(Birmingham, AL) - American Ryan Hunter-Reay in the number 28 DHL car took home the checkered flag in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama yesterday.

The win followed a 2 hour and 30 minute rain delay.

Teammate Marco Andretti finished 2nd and Scott Dixon came in 3rd.

Meanwhile points leader Will power placed 5th after an early mistake forced him to surrender the lead.

For Hunter-Reay it was his 2nd straight win in Birmingham, and puts him in 2nd place in the points race, with 107 on the year. He trails Will Power by 18 points, heading into the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis on May 10th.
