(LONG BEACH, CA) - Mike Conway won the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach yesterday. A crash involving multiple cars on the 56th lap, helped Conway come through for the surprise victory.
Will Power, the current points leader with 93, finished second and rookie driver Carlo Munoz finished 3rd, while Juan Pablo Montoya, and Simon Pagenaud rounded out the top 5.
For Conway, he now moves into second in points, behind Power, with 66, while Simon Pagenaud is 3rd with 60.
American driver Ryan Hunter-Reay headed into the day in 2nd in points and was involved in a crash and eliminated from the race. With the loss he drops to 5th place in the points race.
