Pacers Host Lakers Tonight At Fieldhouse

Last updated on Tuesday, February 25, 2014

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indiana Pacers go for a season-sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers this evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Pacers won the first meeting in LA, knocking off the Lakers 104-92 back on January 28th.

Indiana enters the game with the best record in the Eastern Conference at 42-and-13 and are coming off a 110-100 win in Milwaukee on Saturday night.

The Lakers have the worst record in the West at 19-and-37 following their Sunday night loss at home to the Brooklyn Nets. LA has lost five of its last six games.

Tonight's game with the Lakers marks the Indiana debuts of Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen. Turner and Allen were sent to the Pacers Thursday in a deadline deal that shipped Danny Granger and a second-round draft pick to the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers.

Turner is the key player in the deal. The six-foot-seven wing player was taken with the second-overall pick by the Sixers in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Allen is a six-nine big man who was taken by Philadelphia in the second round of the 2011 Draft.

Center Andrew Bynum, who was signed by the Pacers as a free agent on February 1st, practiced with Turner and Allen on Sunday. Bynum began working out with the team last Friday and traveled to Milwaukee, but is not expected to make his Pacers debut tonight.
