Okposo Scores Game Winner As Islanders Clip Blackhawks

Last updated on Friday, January 3, 2014

(Uniondale, NY) Kyle Okposo scored less than a minute into overtime, pushing the New York Islanders past the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2.

Okposo's goal came just one day after the forward was left off the U.S. Olympic Team.

The goal spoiled the comeback of Hawks goalie Corey Crawford, who returned after missing 10 games due to injury.

The Blackhawks rallied from a 2-goal deficit to send the game to overtime.

Brent Smith and Ben Seabrook each got their 5th goal of the season for Chicago.
