(Cooperstown, NY) - The Baseball Hall of Fame will have three new inductees this summer, and there will be plenty of Chicago ties to the Cooperstown party.
Greg Maddux, Frank Thomas and Tom Glavine were chosen by the Baseball Writers of America Wednesday.
Thomas hit 448 of his 521 career homers with the White Sox, which is the team record. The "Big Hurt" collected back-to-back MVP awards in 1993 and 94.
Maddux pitched 10 seasons for the Cubs, winning 133 games for the team before starting a remarkable run of dominance in Atlanta.
Maddux finished his career with 355 wins which ranks 8th in the history of baseball. The induction ceremony is July 27th.
