Wayne To Miss Remainder Of Season With Torn ACL

Last updated on Tuesday, October 22, 2013

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts didn’t have much time to celebrate their biggest win of the season.

Monday, the team learned that team leader Reggie Wayne will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee.

The receiver suffered the injury in the 4th quarter of last night's win over Denver. Coach Chuck Pagano was emotional in discussing what Wayne means to the team.

"He could give a hoot about the numbers, all that stuff" Pagano said. "He just wants to play and help us win a championship.

That's what he's dealing with right now.

I don't feel any worse than the rest of the guys in the locker room and our owner on down and the rest of his teammates about what happened to him. It's a travesty."
