(Kannapolis, NC) - NASCAR star Tony Stewart is recovering from a third surgery on his right leg following an August Sprint car crash.
Stewart-Haas Racing said the surgery was done Monday to examine and close a wound on Stewart's shin from the broken tibia and fibula he suffered in the August 5 crash.
The team says the Columbus native is still expected to return to the track next season.
