Reds Playoff Run Ends After Just One Game

(Pittsburgh, PA) - The Cincinnati Reds playoff run is over before it started.

The Reds fell to the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-2 in the Steel City Tuesday night in the National League Wild Card game.

The Pirates used the long ball to win their first playoff game in 21 years.

Catcher Russell Martin hit two home runs, while Marlon Byrd added a solo shot.

The Pirates move on to face the St. Louis Cardinals in game one of the National League Divisional Series on Thursday.
