Red Sox Win First Title At Fenway Since 1918

(Boston, MA) - It only took 95 years, but the Boston Red Sox have finally won a World Series at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 in game 6 of the series, taking the title 4 games to 2.

Shane Victorino had a key 3-run double off rookie Michael Wacha in the third inning.

The Sox added 3 more runs in the 4th and held off the Cards for the title.

It was the third time that Boston has won the World Series since 2004, but the first time it happened in Boston since 1918.
