(Denver, CO) - Denver Broncos coach John Fox has fired back at Colts owner Jim Irsay, over Irsay's comments regarding Peyton Manning in USA Today.

In the USA Today story, Irsay is quoted as saying that the Colts "changed their model" because he wanted more championships.

Fox took umbrage at Irsay's remarks and suggested the owner didn't show enough gratitude for Manning's role in Indianapolis' Super Bowl win.

"I saw the comments and to be honest with you I thought it was a bit of a cheap shot," Fox said on SiriusXM."

To me, in my opinion, they were disappointing and inappropriate.

I'd be thankful with that one Super Bowl ring because there's a lot of people that don't have one."
