(Denver, CO) - Adam Wainwright didn’t have his best stuff, but the St. Louis Cardinals ace had enough to help pitch the Cards past the Colorado Rockies 4-3 Wednesday.
The win stretched the Redbirds lead in the National League Central to two games.
Wainwright allowed 10 hits in 7 2/3 innings of work, but still picked up his 17th win, helped by closer Edward Mujica's 37th save.
Tyler Chatwood took the loss for the Rockies.
