(Indianapolis, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts have placed starting left guard Donald Thomas on injured reserve and waived fullback Dan Moore.
Thomas tore a quad tendon in his right leg during Sunday's loss to Miami.
Coach Chuck Pagano said Monday that Thomas would need season-ending surgery.
The Colts plan to place rookie Hugh Thornton into Thomas' place in the lineup.
