(Cleveland, OH) - The Cleveland Indians pounded the hapless Houston Astros 9-2 Sunday, sweeping another 4-game series and tying a major league record.
The sweep was the Tribe's 6th 4-game sweep of the season, becoming the first team since the 1961 New York Yankees to accomplish the feat.
The Indians pounded out 13 hits off the Astros, with Michael Brantley and Jason Kipnis leading the way with 3 each.
Corey Kluber was the winning pitcher for Cleveland, running his record to 10-5 on the year.
The Indians lead Texas by 1 ½ games in the race for the second A.L. Wild Card.
Erik Bedard took the loss for the Astros, his 12th against 4 wins.
Houston fell to 51-105 on the season.
