(Chicago, IL) - The Chicago Cubs figured out ace Pittsburgh ace Francisco Liriano on the way to a 4-2 win over the Pirates on Wednesday at Wrigley Field.

The loss was a huge blow to the Pirates' hopes of winning the N.L. Central title, as Pittsburgh fell three games back of St. Louis with just three to play.

Darnell McDonald's 3-run homer sent Liriano to just his 8th loss in 24 decisions.

Jake Arrieta picked up his 4th win on the season.
