NASCAR Returns To Pocono Raceway This Weekend

(Long Pond, PA) - NASCAR's Sprint Cup Series returns to Pocono Raceway with six tracks to go until the Chase for the Sprint Cup begins.

Ryan Newman moved up to 16th in points by winning last Sunday's Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and is still on the outside of NASCAR's playoff series.

Jeff Gordon holds down the last guaranteed spot in the chase with the tenth position on the points standings.

Tony Stewart is currently battling with nine other drivers for one of two wildcard positions at 11th in points.

Jimmie Johnson is the points leader, followed by Clint Bowyer and Carl Edwards. Qualifying is Saturday and the 400-mile race is Sunday at 1:00.
