(South Bend, IN) - In college football, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish took a hit to their 10th ranked recruiting class when running back Elijah Hood announced his de-commitment to the BCS runner ups.
Hood, the 47th overall recruit in the 2014 ESPN 300, said in a tweet last night that his decision had everything to do with family but nothing about football or academics.
Hood originally chose the Fighting Irish over his home state of North Carolina, but struggled with the distance from South Bend to his home state.
