Danks Fires Gem As White Sox Shutout Royals

(Kansas City, MO) - In the American League, the Chicago White Sox blanked the Kansas City Royals 2-0 at Kauffman Stadium last night.

Chicago starter John Danks improved to 3-10 on the year after pitching eight shutout innings.

Addison Reed came on in the ninth to close out Kansas City and record save number 32 on the season.

Gordon Beckham homered for the White Sox and Avisail Garcia went 3-4.

Chicago is 57-and-74 and plays Kansas City tonight at 8:10.
