(Anderson, IN) - The Indianapolis Colts provided an update on Darrius Heyward-Bey’s sprained left knee Monday, saying the injury was “not serious” without offering an exact timetable for his return.
Heyward-Bey sat out yesterday's morning walk-through and afternoon practice and was spotted wearing a knee brace but free of crutches and walking assistance.
Linebacker Jerrell Freeman also sat out yesterday's workouts with a shoulder injury.
The team did not indicate how much time Freeman will miss and the extent of the injury.
Colts's training camp continues at Anderson University today with a closed walk-through this morning and an open practice at 6:30 this evening.
The first preseason game is Sunday, August 11th, at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Buffalo Bills.
