(Cincinnati, OH) - In the National League, Shin-Soo Choo scored the eventual game winning run on a wild pitch in the eighth inning and the Cincinnati Reds held on the beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1 at Great American Ballpark yesterday. .
Choo scored for the second time of the game on a ball-four pitch that ricocheted off the catcher's glove and rolled to the wall.
Aroldis Chapman pitched two-innings the night before and was unavailable to close out the game, but Sam LeCure overcame a shaky ninth inning to record his first save of the season.
Mat Latos improved to 13-4 on a one-run performance with six strikeouts.
The Reds are 73-55, have won 12 of their last 16-games, and open a home series against the Milwaukee Brewers tonight at 7:10
