Cardinals Snap Losing Streak With Big Win

(Pittsburgh, PA) - In the National League, the St. Louis Cardinals avoided an eighth straight loss by handling the Pittsburgh Pirates 13-0 at PNC Park last night.

Tony Cruz subbed for the the injured Yadier Molina at catcher and went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Joe Kelley combined with three-relievers to shutout the Pirates and improved to 2-and-3 on the year.

The Cardinals avoided a five-game sweep to Pittsburgh with last night's win and trail the Pirates by a game and-a-half for first place in the NL Central.

They're 63-47 on they year and visit the Reds tonight at 7:10.
