Royals Push Back, Defeat Indians

(Kansas City, MO) - In the American League Wednesday, Eric Hosmer hit a tiebreaking home run late in the game and the Kansas City Royals defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-5 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Hosmer hit his eighth home run of the season, his second in three games, in the seventh inning off of Indians' reliever Cody Allen.

Jason Kipnis had two-hits and 3-RBIs for the Indians and Scott Kazmir allowed-three runs in five-innings pitched.

The Indians play at Kansas City today at 2:10.
