Reds And Giants Split Doubleheader

(San Francisco, CA) - In the National League, the Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants split a doubleheader Tuesday in San Francisco.

The Reds hit three home runs in the first game to overpower the Giants 9-3.

Devon Mesoraco had a three-run shot in the second inning and Joey Votto and Zach Cozart added solo home runs later in the game.

San Francisco won the nightcap 5-3 after Pablo Sandoval and Hunter Pence keyed a three-run, first inning for the Giants.

Greg Reynolds was called up from Triple A Louisville for the second game of the double header and lost his season debut for the Reds after giving up five-runs in five-innings.

The Reds are 57-44 and play the Giants tonight at 10:15.
