Miller Named Butler's New Head Coach

Last updated on Monday, July 8, 2013

(Indianapolis, IN) - Brandon Miller was named head coach of the Butler men’s basketball team at a news conference Saturday, making the 34-year-old New Castle native the fourth consecutive assistant at Butler to accept the head coaching position.

Athletic Director Barry Collier interviewed Miller shortly after Brad Stevens tendered his resignation Wednesday and reportedly offered him the position Saturday Morning.

Later in the day, Collier introduced Miller as a rising star of the profession and said he was incredibly bright with the "upmost integrity."

Stevens left his coaching position at the private Indianapolis university last Wednesday to become the head coach of the Boston Celtics.
