(Chicago, IL) - In the American League Sunday, Justin Masterson pitched a complete game shutout in the Cleveland Indians 4-0 win over the Chicago White Sox at US Cellular Field.
Masterson blanked the White Sox for the second time this season and struck out eight over nine innings pitched.
Chris Sale is 5-7 on the year after a 10-strike out, eight inning performance for Chicago. Cleveland is in a virtual tie for first place in the AL Central at 44-38 and open a series at the Kansas City Royals tomorrow night.
The White Sox are 32-47 and play the Baltimore Orioles tomorrow at US Cellular Field.
