Colts Waive Saunders, Sign Rugby Player

(Indianapolis, IN) - The Colts waived tight end Weslye Saunders yesterday and signed Kenyan rugby national Daniel Odongo as a potential outside linebacker with the team.

Saunders was released nearly a week after the NFL suspended him for a second violation of the league's policy on performance enhancing drugs.

The Kenyan born Odongo was a rugby standout in Africa and will begin his audition for a spot on the 53-man roster when training camp begins Sunday at Anderson University.

Practice begins at 1:50 and is open to the public.
