(Cleveland, OH) - In the American League Monday, Elliot Johnson scored on a wild pitch in the ninth inning to give the Kansas City Royals a 2-1 win over the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.

Johnson was inserted as a pinch runner for Billy Butler, who opened the ninth inning with a double.

Indians' reliever Matt Albers delivered a ball that got under catcher Carlos Santana, and Johnson sprinted home from third base and beat the tag to make it 2-1 Royals.

Cleveland will host Kansas City tonight at 7:10.
