(New York, NY) - In the American League Monday, Mark Teixeira hit a grand slam in the third inning and the New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Indians 7-4 at Yankee Stadium.
It was Teixeira's first home run since returning to the Yankees lineup last Saturday.
Indians' short stop Asdrubal Cabrera was helped off the field after straining his right quadriceps in the fifth.
Manager Terry Francona said Cabrera will undergo tests in Cleveland later today and will likely spend some time on the disabled list.
The Indians play the Yankees again tonight at 7:05.
