(Oakland, CA) - In the American League Sunday, Chris Sale gave up his first run in 28-innings during the Oakland A’s 2-0 win over the Chicago White Sox at the Coliseum in Oakland.
Jason Donaldson hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning for the A's to break the pitching ace's scoreless inning streak. Sale fell to 5-and-3 after striking out five in six innings pitched.
Chicago has lost six straight games since leveling their record at five-hundred on May 26th.
They're 24-30 on the season and open a three-game series against the Seattle Mariners tonight.
First pitch from Safeco Field is at 10:10.
