(New York, NY) - In the American League Wednesday, CC Sabathia pitched all nine innings and the New York Yankees completed a sweep of the Cleveland Indians, winning 6-4 at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees had built a 6-0 lead when Mike Aviles became the first base runner of the game for the Indians with a single in the fifth inning.

The Indians strung together a two-run sixth inning on an RBI single by Jason Kipnis and a fielder's choice that scored Michael Bourne.

Yan Gomez hit a two-run homer in the seventh to make it 6-4 Yankees, but Sabathia cruised through the last two-innings and improved to 6-4 on the year.

The Indians are 30-29 on the year, 3-10 since May 24th, and trail the Detroit Tigers by two-games in the AL Central.

The Indians open a weekend series at the Tigers Friday night.
