Rangers Slip Past Indians

(Arlington, TX) - In the American League Monday, Lance Berkman hit a tiebreaking home run late in the game and the Texas Rangers held on to beat the Cleveland Indians 6-to-3 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Berkman's two-run shot in the seventh inning gave the Rangers a 5-to-3 lead in sending the reeling Indians to their eighth straight loss.

arlos Santana gave Cleveland a 3-to-1 lead in the third inning with a bases clearing double, but Jeff Baker tied the game with a two-run homer in the fourth off of Indians' starter Scott Kazmir.

The Indians play the Rangers tonight at 8:05.
