(undated) - In racing this weekend, NASCAR’s Sprint Cup drivers will compete on the first road course of the season, the two-mile, 12-turn road circuit in Sonoma, California.
Clint Bowyer is the defending race champion and is third in the points standings. Jimmie Johnson is the points leader and won at Sonoma Raceway in 2010.
Tony Stewart is tenth in points, Jeff Gordon 16th, and Ryan Newman 18th. Qualifying for the Toyota/Save Mart 350 is tomorrow and the race is Sunday at 3:00.
Indycar drivers will qualify tomorrow for the Iowa Corn Indy 250 at Iowa Speedway. Ryan Hunter-Reay is the defending race champion and is second in points after last weekend's victory at the Milwaukee Mile.
Helio Castroneves is the points leader after one-win and five, top-five finishes. Racing beings at 3:00 Sunday.
