Cubs Hold On To Beat Brewers

(Milwaukee, WI) - In the National League Thursday, the Chicago Cubs held off the Milwaukee Brewers in the ninth inning to win 5-4 at Miller Park in Milwaukee.

Juan Francisco started the rally with a home run in the ninth that cut Chicago's lead to 5-4.

Later in the inning, third baseman Luis Valbuena threw out Rickie Weeks at home to preserve the Cubs first win at Miller Park in ten tries.

The Cubs play the Brewers at 2:20 today and begin a series at the Seattle Mariners tomorrow night.
