(Chicago, IL) - In the National League Sunday, Patrick Corbin became the first nine-game winner in the majors after the Arizona Diamondbacks finished off the Chicago Cubs 8-4 at Wrigley Field.
Corbin was charged with four-runs in six-innings pitched in raising his ERA to 2.06.
Edwin Jackson fell to 1-8 after being shelled with seven-runs on 12-hits in five and-two-thirds innings pitched.
The Cubs are 23-32 and begin a two-game set at the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday night.
First pitch from Angel Stadium is at 10:05.
