(Oakland, CA) - In Major League Baseball Tuesday, Josh Donaldson homered in a game deciding third inning as the Oakland A’s held on to beat the Cincinnati Reds 7-3 at the Coliseum in Oakland.

Donaldson capped the four-run inning by hitting a two-run blast that gave the A's a 6-0 lead.

Bronson Arroyo was pulled from the game after four-innings, his shortest outing of the season, and was tagged for seven-runs in falling to 6-6 on the year.

Cesar Izturis had three-hits in start of second baseman Brandon Phillips, who return is expected to rejoin the Reds Friday after a personal leave of absence.

The Reds are 45-33 and finish their brief interleague series with the A's this afternoon.
