(Chicago, IL) - Travis Wood collected the win and hit a grand slam as the Chicago Cubs took their third-straight game from the crosstown White Sox with an 8-3 victory at Wrigley Field.

The Cubs jumped out to a 2-0 lead on RBI singles from Darwin Barney and David DeJesus in the second inning with Paul Konerko getting one back for the Sox with a single in the third.

Wood would blow the game open with his fourth-inning slam off White Sox starter Jake Peavy in the fourth.

Nate Schierholtz and Luis Valbuena would add solo shots off the Sox' bullpen with Konerko adding an RBI double in the sixth to finish with two runs batted in.

Wood allowed two runs on five hits over six innings and improves to 5-3 as the Cubs have won four-straight overall.

Peavy falls to 6-3.
