White Sox Edge Royals In Extra Innings

(Kansas City, MO) - In the America League Monday, Jordon Danks homered in the eleventh inning to give the Chicago White Sox a 2-1 win over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Danks hit his first home run of the season with two-outs in the eleventh in helping Chicago avoid a three-game sweep of the Royals.

Chris Sale left the game in the eighth inning after giving up a run and striking out five.

The White Sox are 13-17 and start a two-game series at the New York Mets tonight at 7:10.
