(Pittsburgh, PA) - In the National League Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Pirates spoiled Matt Garza’s first start in ten-months during a 5-4 win over the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Garza had a 3-0 lead after pitching five shutout innings, but a bases-loaded walk by the Cubs' bullpen and a pinch-hit grand-slam by Travis Snider spoiled his first trip to the mound since last July.
Darwin Barney went 4-4 and Alfonso Soriano had two-hits for the Cubs.
Chicago is 18-26 and resume their series in Pittsburgh tonight at 7:05.
