Last updated on Monday, May 20, 2013

(Miami, FL) - The Indiana Pacers will appear in their first Eastern Conference Finals since 2004 after eliminating the second-seeded New York Knicks Saturday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The best-of-seven series between the Pacers and the defending champion Miami Heat begins Wednesday at American Airlines Center in Miami.

The two teams will meet in the NBA playoffs for the second consecutive time.

The Heat defeated the Pacers in six-games in the East semi-finals last season and eventually won their second championship in franchise history by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder in five-games.

The Pacers return to the conference-finals after clinching their series against the Knicks with a 106-to-99 win Saturday.

Miami hasn't played a game since May 15th after knocking-off the Chicago Bulls in five-games.

The first two contests are Wednesday and Friday and will tip from the American Airlines Center.

The series moves to Indianapolis for game three Sunday night and game-four on Tuesday, May 28th.

All games in the East finals tip at 8:30.
