Last updated on Thursday, May 30, 2013

(Chicago, IL) - In Major League Baseball Wednesday, Dioner Navarro hit three home runs in leading the Chicago Cubs past the Chicago White Sox 9-3 at Wrigley Field.

Navarro drove a pitch over the left-centerfield wall in the second-inning the gave the Cubs a 2-1 lead, and later hit a two-run shot in the fourth that hooked just inside the foul pole.

Navarro's third home run of the game was a three-run blast that cleared Wrigley Field and landed on Sheffield Avenue, giving the 29-year-old catcher six-RBIS on the afternoon.

The Cubs are 21-30 and have won three straight games.

The White Sox are 24-26 and are four and-a-half games out of first place in the AL Central.

The interleague series concludes at Wrigley Field this afternoon at 2:20.
