Indians Use The Long Ball To Knock Off Oakland

(Cleveland, OH) - In the American League Monday, the Cleveland Indians hit four home runs in overpowering the Oakland Athletics, 7-3 at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Jason Kipnis and Asdrubal Cabrera hit back to back shots in the first inning to make it 2-0 Cleveland.

Cabrera connected again in the fifth inning on a solo shot to left field and Mark Reynolds hit his American League best tenth home run two batters later.

The Indians have won seven of their last eight games in improving to 15-14.

They play the A's again tonight at 7:05.
