Indians Beat Reds To Snap Five Game Skid

(Cleveland, OH) - In Major League Baseball Wednesday, the Cleveland Indians snapped a five-game losing streak in a 5-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Progressive Field.

Mark Reynolds tied the game for the Indians at 1-1 with a home run in the third-inning and Jason Giambi hit a three-run blast in the sixth that gave the Indians a 5-1 lead.

Joey Votto hit his tenth home run of the season and Xavier Paul homered in the ninth for the Reds.

The Reds are two and-a-half games behind the Cardinals for first in the NL Central at 33-20.

Cleveland is a game and-a-half behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central at 28--24.

The series concludes at Progressive Field tonight at 7:05.
