(New York, NY) - The New York Knicks are still alive in the East semi-finals after beating the Indiana Pacers 85-to-75 at Madison Square Garden Thursday night.
Carmelo Anthony scored 28-points in helping New York force a crucial game-six at Bankers Life Fieldhouse Saturday night. The Pacers' still lead the best-of-seven playoff series three-games to two.
George Hill sat out last night's game-five contest after failing a concussion test yesterday afternoon and is listed as day-to-day by the team. Hill was injured in a collision with Knicks' center Tyson Chandler in the first quarter of game-four Tuesday but stayed in to lead all scorers with 26-points.
The league requires players who suffer concussions to pass a series of tests before returning to the court, placing the Indianapolis native's status for Saturday night's game in series jeopardy.
Paul George led the Pacers with 23-points and battled foul trouble in the second half. Roy Hibbert played a series low 31-minutes after picking up early fouls in the first and third quarters and finished with 9-points and 7-rebounds.
JR Smith and Chris Copeland scored 13-points each in leading the Knicks bench to a 35-to-10 scoring advantage over the Pacers reserves.
Saturday's game-six tips at 8:00 in Indianapolis. Only eight teams in the history of the NBA have recovered from a 3-to-1 series deficit to win a playoff series.
