Last updated on Friday, May 3, 2013

(undated) - In racing this weekend, Denny Hamlin will return to NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series at historic Talladega Superspeedway.

Hamlin has been rehabilitating a compression fracture suffered in a wreck at Auto Club Speedway on March 24th.

The Joe Gibbs racing driver will likely start the Aaron's 499 and later give way to a relief driver.

Brad Keselowski is the defending champion at Talladega and is currently sixth in points after finishing 33rd last weekend at Richmond International Raceway.

Jimmie Johnson is first in points, followed by Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Dale Earnhardt Junior, and Clint Bowyer.

Qualifying is tomorrow and the race is Sunday at 1pm.
