(New York, NY) - In the National League Monday, Johnny Cueto made his first start since April 13th and Jay Bruce hit a tie breaking home run during the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 win over the New York Mets at Citi Field in New York.
Cueto struck out six of the last seven batters faced in improving to 2-0 on the year.
He gave up three-runs over five-innings pitched in his first appearance since straining a back muscle near the beginning of the season.
The Reds are 27-18 and continue their series in New York tonight at 7:10.
